This is a non-insurance backed parts guarantee which is self-funded by The Window Doctor Care & Repair Service Ltd (Company number 03640939) which has its registered office at Unit R, Radius Court, Tungsten Park, Hinckley, Leicester, LE10 3BE (warranty provider).
This warranty was introduced as of 1st May 2023. All works accepted and/or completed prior to this date are not covered under this warranty.
The standard warranty is 5 years from the date of installation. In order to activate the 10-year warranty you MUST register the works within 90 days of the original completion date. You can register by visiting our website.
This warranty is limited to the cost of repairing/replacing the product. The Window Doctor Care & Repair Service LTD does not accept and will not be held liable for any financial loss incurred in connection with the failure of any product to operate in accordance with the expected standards.
This warranty covers double-glazed glass units (excluding glass units manufactured using heritage spacer bars and Pilkington® Textured) for a period of 10 years from the date of installation which have been supplied and installed within the United Kingdom by The Window Doctor Care & Repair Service LTD® and installed into drained systems.
This glass unit warranty covers only the glass in any Unit and does not cover any hardware supplied with or attached to any unit (such as handles, locks, fixings etc).
If any of the materials or components used in the manufacture of double-glazed units included within the warranty prove to be defective during the relevant warranty period specified below by reason of faulty workmanship or the use of faulty materials in the manufacture by The Window Doctor Care & Repair Service Ltd, Then The Window Doctor Care & Repair Service LTD shall at its own option either replace or repair the same free of charge.
This warranty covers any defects in glass materials with the exceptions stated below:
Damage occurring by way of natural disasters;
Theft of a Unit;
Vandalisation/criminal activity in relation to a Unit;
Any occurrence of thermal stress;
Accidental damage;
Fair wear and tear;
Damage caused or made worse by any misuse of the Unit or failure to maintain the Unit in accordance with any recommendations provided or made available by the company at or around the time of installation;
Minor cosmetic issues such as fading of colour;
Cracks in the glass due to movement of frame or building.
All installation works shall be carried out by such person as is nominated by The Window Doctor Care & Repair Service LTD®. Replacement of the Unit is conditional upon you providing such access as is reasonably required at a reasonable time to undertake such replacement.
The Window Doctor Care & Repair Service Ltd will use reasonable endeavours to match any replacement to the relevant Unit as nearly as possible however an exact replacement may not be possible, for example where a Unit is no longer produced or available on commercially reasonable terms. The warranty provider reserves the right to repair or replace or use new or refurbished replacement units, at the warranty provider's discretion.
The glass used in Units may have minor imperfections. The warranty provider shall not be obliged to replace any such glass that would not be covered by the warranty of the glass manufacturer. In the event of a dispute, the standards of blemish acceptability as laid down by the Glass and Glazing Federation shall be used.
You may not transfer this warranty to any person. This warranty is personal to you.
You have statutory rights in relation to goods supplied by The Window Doctor Care & Repair Service LTD® (including the Unit). This warranty does not affect your legal rights in relevant to faulty or misdescribed products.
Sealed Double Glazed Units
